DPS STRETCH CEILINGS

Stretch ceilings are attractive, modern, and safe interior finishing elements that are gaining an increasing number of supporters. A stretch ceiling is a flexible material made of Teflon-coated PVC foil, which is stretched onto the peripheral profiles. The stretch ceiling can be made in various textures, colors, and graphics. The foil used during installation is at room temperature. This means that water does not condense on it, so the stretch ceiling can be installed not only in a room but also in a bathroom. Another advantage of this type of ceilings is the fact that they are resistant to any deformation. These are not all the advantages. A stretch ceiling allows you to hide unsightly ceiling finishes or installations.

DPS ceilings are characterized by a very light coating that does not burden the ceilings and does not require strengthening the roof or ceiling structure. The coating is mounted to the mounting strip, which is attached to the wall and constitutes a supporting structure. The weight of a square meter is 0.18-0.2 kg/m2. The low weight makes it impossible to transfer additional loads through the unzipped shell. For this reason, additional elements, such as lighting or ventilation, must be mounted on independently supporting elements.

The ceiling coating is stretched on strips attached to the walls. The minimum reduction from the ceiling is 2.8 cm. The surface of the coating is prepared to size up to 70 m2 in one pane. DPS ceilings can also be used in larger rooms, but then individual surfaces must be separated.

The products we offer are original and have all approvals and certificates allowing for use in public utility premises, health care facilities, school, and office facilities, even on escape routes. They are also often used in living rooms. Ceilings are used to lower high rooms. They are also useful in masking visible installations and insulating the interior of the facility against flooding, noise, or heat loss. Their properties ensure better acoustic conditions in rooms.

It is possible to install high-quality prints. It can be any graphic - including 3D. The production of printed stretch ceilings uses UV printing technology, thanks to which the paints are more durable and resistant to harmful conditions (temperature, moisture, light).

Island

The island stretch ceiling is the most complex and spectacular. An island stretch ceiling consists of a system of self-supporting ceilings reinforced with an additional structure located under the ceiling coating. The elements of island ceilings can be three-dimensional figures, mirrors and structures of any shape. This type of ceiling is a perfect solution for shopping malls and restaurants.

System MIRROR

The Mirror stretch ceiling is a proposition for those who would like to optically enlarge their apartment using an original solution. This system involves installing panels with a mirror coating. Its degree of reflection is up to 97% (for comparison, the degree of reflection in the case of an ordinary mirror is 70%). The thickness of the glass is 4-6 mm, and the thickness of the pane is several microns. Mirror system ceilings in dimensions 2x12m are made without joints.

3D

Obtaining three dimensions on the ceiling is possible in several ways. Apparent 3D is obtained thanks to the use of lighting installed under the branch and a photographic image with any print. A real three-dimensional stretch ceiling can be created by modeling foil and creating various figures. It is also possible to create separate shapes and attach them to the smooth surfaces of a stretch ceiling.

Illuminated

Illuminated ceiling solution that is perfect for restaurants, pubs and discos. Single- or multi-colored LED strips are responsible for illuminating the ceiling. When installing RGB LED lighting, you can change the intensity and type of colors using a strip remote control.

Starry sky

This option is addressed to people who would like to have an imitation of the sky at night in their apartment. This stretch ceiling is a perfect solution for a children's room. Lighting fiber optics are used to create this type of stretch ceiling. First, the lighting profiles are installed and then the foil is applied. The optical fibers are controlled by a light generator, which is programmed by setting the light cycles and intensity, possible color changes and the frequency of changes.

Using DPS stretch ceilings, you can easily, quickly and effectively mask ventilation, lighting and computer installations, as well as cover any imperfections of the existing ceiling, such as stains, cracks or gaps resulting from the displacement of large-panel structures.

 

Sterility

 

DPS stretch ceilings installed in any room do not require special maintenance and under normal operating conditions should be cleaned every 5 to 7 years. Keeping them in perfect condition is easy and does not require any special chemicals or cleaning methods. Stretch ceilings can be refreshed using water and common degreasing detergents, and in the case of stubborn dirt, we can use a steam, chlorine or trichlor sterilizer. Karcher devices are used to clean surfaces in hard-to-reach places and at heights.

Resistance

 

When assessing ceilings in terms of resistance to cracking, impacts or flooding, you should know that stretched ceilings are extremely flexible. They work well at very high temperatures but also in situations below -20°. A stretch ceiling can hold water without becoming deformed or damp. The stretch ceilings are completely resistant to even minimal amounts of moisture. The stretch ceiling can bear up to 100 liters of water/m2.

Planning flexibility

 

Stretch ceilings give more freedom for creative planning than suspended ceilings: they can take any shape; create bends or arcs; it is possible to use various prints. Depending on the customer's preferences, it is possible to use lighting and ventilation.

Color

 

Ceiling coatings are available in almost unlimited color options. However, for marketing reasons, it was necessary to define a permanent range of colors, the number of which is over 100. Thanks to such a wide range of colors, customers have the opportunity to perfectly adapt stretch ceilings to the appearance and character of the interior. The constantly evolving architectural style and current fashion mean that the range of proposed colors is subject to constant modifications.

Easy to install

Installation of stretch ceilings takes several hours, while the installation of 50 m2 of suspended ceiling can take up to a week. Installing a stretch ceiling does not require emptying the apartment - the work is comfortable and does not generate dirt or dust, which cannot be said about the solution of suspended ceilings. Even though a stretch ceiling is one of the types of suspended ceilings, the installation of a suspended ceiling is very different from that of a stretched ceiling.

Characteristics

Installation of stretch ceilings is simple and quick, and does not affect the activity of the room being renovated. Installing a stretch ceiling requires skill due to its delicate nature. The ceiling material must be heated because it increases its volume and allows it to be formed. In practice, it means preparing a PVC material that is approximately 7% smaller than the object to be covered with it. The stretched PVC material creates a uniform surface that resembles glass. The stretch ceiling is characterized by high durability. The durability of a stretch ceiling can last up to 15 years. There is no requirement to use protective measures. Occasional refreshing with an alcohol solution is enough. You should also know that the products used in the installation of stretch ceilings have the necessary certificates. The raw materials are products from certified companies.

Weight and shape

The weight of stretch ceilings is minimal. While 1 m2 of suspended ceiling can weigh up to 50 kg, a stretch ceiling on the same area does not even reach 1 kg. Depending on how stretch ceilings are installed, we can obtain flat and smooth surfaces, horizontal or vertical to the floor. By installing stretch ceilings, we have almost unlimited possibilities to adjust their shape. We can make a circle, oval, arch shape, as well as various spatial, multi-level and broken configurations. Selected forms are shaped using a system of construction strips on which a membrane is placed. The final formation of the ceiling therefore depends on the composition and installation of the coating tension profiles.

Impermeability

The foil from which DPS stretch ceilings are made is a 100% moisture barrier. The ceiling is protected in two ways: by constructing roofs from the inside of the room, which has a very large impact in the case of vapor and anti-corrosion insulation; by preventing water and moisture from penetrating to the outside. The greatest advantage of the foil is its extensibility. If the room in which the stretch ceiling is installed is flooded, the coating absorbs the water stream and stores it on the surface. A bulge will then appear on the ceiling. To repair the failure without any consequences for the room, the water should be pumped out through the lighting hole or the edge release. To give the ceiling surface its previous appearance, it only needs to be heated and the material will quickly return to its original shape.

Acoustics

The ceiling coating is constructed in such a way as not to reduce the acoustic value of the interior by causing resonance of the sound wave or damping it. Moreover, it is possible to avoid the echo effect that often accompanies places with a large area. This is a particularly important solution in theaters, conference and music halls, offices and shopping centers. To obtain increased soundproofing parameters in rooms, additional auxiliary materials should be used.

Foil structure

An additional element that allows for the differentiation of the artistic and architectural effect is the structure of the foil, which comes in many forms:

  • Matte – the material has delicate embossing on the structure of the material, which resembles a slightly granulated surface;

  • Satin – the material is completely smooth and has a slight shine;

  • Mirror – the material is perfectly smooth and imitates a mirror image;

  • Metallic - the texture resembles metallic car paint; Transparent – the coating is semi-transparent and light-scattering.

Such coatings are dedicated to prints and illumination.

Antistatic

During production, the ceiling surface is covered with a micron layer of Teflon, which prevents dust particles from settling on its surface. This ceiling has another advantage - it does not condense water vapor, which is why it is an ideal solution for bathrooms, swimming pools or kitchens. Features such as hygroscopicity and antielectrostaticity, which are unheard of in other ceilings available on the market, also enable its use in operating rooms, treatment rooms, computer rooms, as well as in server rooms and places where telephone switchboards operate.

Thermal barrier

PVC coatings in stretch ceilings are an ecological solution because they create a barrier, which allows for lower energy consumption. Lowering the room goes hand in hand with reducing heating costs. After installing the foil, a layer of air appears between it and the ceiling, which acts as a catalyst, which increases the thermal parameters. In the case of particularly cold rooms, it is recommended to use additional insulation materials.
